RFP Open for Artist as Activist Fellowship Focusing on Racial Justice with Emphasis on Mass Incarceration
Date:  10-18-2016

Fellowship grant offers $100,000 over two year period
From the Rauschenberg Foundation:

The Artist as Activist Fellowship provides independent artists and art collectives with a demonstrated commitment to applying their creative work to the public sphere up to $100,000 over two years along with access to opportunities for professional advancement. Fellows are identified through a highly competitive open call for proposals.

Applying lessons from the inaugural round of fellowship applications, the foundation decided to narrow the focus of future open calls by inviting projects addressing a specific issue or theme. The issue area is subject to change. The 2016 and 2017 cohorts of Artist as Activist Fellows are addressing racial justice through the lens of mass incarceration.
